The safety and security of all our attendees is our top priority. We’re proud to be working with South Lincs Security Limited as our official security provider for East Coast Pride 2025.
South Lincs Security Limited is a trusted, professional security company with extensive experience in supporting public events and festivals across the region. Their team is fully trained, licensed, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone attending Pride.

You’ll see South Lincs Security personnel throughout the event, clearly identifiable in yellow and orange high-visibility jackets. They will be positioned across the site at entrances, key zones, and on mobile patrols.

Security personnel will be happy to help and can also contact emergency services or first aid teams if needed.
We want every attendee to feel safe, respected, and welcome at East Coast Pride. Our security team is here to support that aim, so please treat them with the same dignity and respect we expect across our entire event.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will there be searches?
At the Tower Gardens, the Main Entrance is via Grand Parade. Please be aware that for your safety and security, our security may ask to check your bags across the East Coast Pride Tower Garden's Site.
Please understand that this is for your safety, and forms part of our licensing conditions to run a safe event within the area, so please respect our security team if they ask.
If you don’t need to bring a bag with you then please don’t bring one.
Guests has the right to refuse a search, whereupon they should be advised that they will not be allowed into the event. The search will be carried out by the SIA Licenced Security Staff or the Licenced Detection Dog supplied by South Lincs Security.
Can I bring glass?
Due to safety rules and our licensing conditions. There will be strictly no glass permitted onto site during East Coast Pride.
This is written within our Premise License, and therefore, Security will turn around anyone found with glass on their possession.
If you have medicine products in glass, please provide medical evidence of need for them to Security at the Main Gate.
Can I bring in food and drink?
Yes. You are welcome to bring in food and drink.
East Coast Pride will have food vendors and drink suppliers on site - however, we will not be selling alcohol on site for East Coast Pride 2025.
You are welcome to bring a picnic or some drinks with you to make the day enjoyable for you and your family or friends.
Drinks are also welcome into the Main Stage area – open vessels and drinking bottles must be sipped in front of security before entry, however sealed and untampered items are permitted.
Will there be Police on site?
There may be Police on site - although we provide our own security services to reduce impact on public services. There’s no need to be concerned about the police presence – they are there to help you feel safe and to support us in delivering a secure and successful event. Be aware that there may also be police dogs patrolling the entrances and site area, but please be assured that they are friendly with very experienced handlers.
We work closely with the Lincolnshire Police and other organisations and have a range of measures in place to ensure your safety and security. These include our highly trained security personnel, bag searches and CCTV across the site – as well as other measures that may not be visible.
Can security help me find something?
Our stewards and security staff are aware that not everyone is familiar with the event site layout, so will be keeping their eyes open for anyone who may need some assistance or directions.
They may even approach you to offer help if they think you may need it or are lost – so don’t be surprised if they pop up to say hello!
Will security have animals?
Yes - as part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we will have dog handlers and sniffer dogs on site. Additionally,
be aware that there may also be police dogs patrolling the entrances and site area, but please be assured that they are friendly with very experienced handlers.
All animals used by the event are provided by licensed professionals, and there for your safety. If you are approached by a dog handler, the is no need to be concerned - they are there for your safety.
What items are prohibited?
Please note you will be searched on entry to the event enclosure in Tower Gardens. Any items that may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated. No responsibility is given for the return of confiscated items. If you are in possession of illegal substances, you may be arrested.
For your safety, the following items have been prohibited during the event in the Tower Gardens.

What is your Drugs Policy?
There is a zero tolerance policy to drugs, and anyone with drugs found will be treated with normal enforcement laws, ejected from the site and the police will be called.
‘Legal’ highs are also not permitted onsite, including NOS.
An amnesty bin will be available on site. Certain items will be reported to the Police if surrendered.
The following items can be placed in the amnesty bin:
