The organisation is particularly interested in individuals with expertise in fundraising, grant writing, finance, or governance to support its mission of eliminating discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
About East Coast Pride
Established to foster awareness and understanding of LGBTQIA issues, East Coast Pride organises events, including an annual town-wide Pride celebration, and conducts research to support equality and diversity within the community.
Trustee Roles and Responsibilities
Trustees play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of East Coast Pride, ensuring the charity’s activities align with its mission and comply with legal and financial obligations. Key responsibilities include:
Fundraising and Grant Writing: Developing and implementing strategies to secure funding from individuals, corporations, trusts, and grant-making bodies.
Financial Oversight: Monitoring the charity’s financial health, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring adequate reserves are maintained.
Governance: Ensuring the charity adheres to best practices in governance, including compliance with the Charity Governance Code and other regulatory requirements.
