East Coast Pride appoints Jenna G as its first Patron

East Coast Pride has appointed Jenna G, the performer Tyler Williams, as the charity's first ever Patron.
The Board of Trustees resolved to make the appointment in recognition of the public profile, influence and commitment Jenna G brings to championing LGBTQIA+ communities, equality, inclusion and dignity. The initial term runs for five years and can be renewed by mutual agreement.
As Patron, Jenna G will act as a visible public advocate for East Coast Pride, supporting awareness and fundraising activity, promoting campaigns through her platforms and networks, attending charity events where possible, and helping the charity build new partnerships and reach new audiences.
Amy Basker, Chair of East Coast Pride, said: "Jenna's artistry and her connection with an audience create moments of joy, confidence and belonging. That is exactly the spirit of Pride, and it is why the Trustees were unanimous "Appointing our first Patron is a real milestone for this charity. We are a young organisation doing serious work on a stretch of coast where LGBTQIA+ people have too often been left without visible support. "Having someone of Jenna's standing lend her name and her voice to that work tells our communities they matter. We are proud to welcome her, and we cannot wait to get started."
Patrons are appointed by the Board of Trustees under the charity's Appointment of Patrons, Ambassadors and Honorary Persons Policy.
The title is an advocacy and profile role. It does not carry Trustee status, voting rights or authority to act for the charity.
